Nakajima Ki-27 "Nate" 50th Sentai - 1st Chutai - This aircraft was shot down by the AVG over Burma, January 1942. The 50th Sentai began the war supporting the invasion of Burma and then was quickly moved to the Philippines as soon as captured airfields were available to support the invasion there. FW190D slot version.

The Ki-27 Nate was the standard Japanese Army Air Force fighter from 1937 through the beginning of WWII. It was heavily involved in combat in China, and in the Nomonhan "Incident" in 1938, fighting the Soviet Union in Manchuria. It was slated for replacement by the Nakajima Ki-43 Oscar by the beginning of WWII, but few Ki-43s were in service when the war began. As a result, the Ki-27 Nate saw extensive operational use during the first year of the war.

I developed this model from the PAW1942 Val 3dz wire frame. It has an adapted Zero cockpit by Claudio Wilches with a wing view skin by myself.

For use with Charles Gunst's ECA (Enemy Coast Ahead)Panel in the FW190D slot. To install, just unzip the *.TPC and *.3DZ files into your EAW directory. The Nate uses this slot in the Burma 1942 Campaign.

The .PCX files for this aircraft are included if you'd like to try your hand at changing them and adding your own markings.

Have fun,
